Website says "KILL ALL MUSLIM KIDS"

I'm speechless

FL WEB HOST ASKED TO DROP 'KILL ALL MUSLIM KIDS' SITE - TOP

(TAMPA, FL, 12/14/06) - The Tampa, Fla., office of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR-Tampa) is calling on an Internet web hosting company in that state to drop a hate site that supports calls to "kill all Muslim kids."

Under the headline, "Love Your Kids? Fear For Their Future? Kill All Muslim Kids!!!!," the website's owner, who lives in the Tampa area, wrote: "Makes sense to me. After all, if Muslims are raising their little crumb-snatching, curtain climbing, ankle biting rug rats to strap on bombs in order to kill us, it is logically correct to assume that in order to stop that from happening we need to kill all Muslim kids. Starting now."

Other entries on the site contain obscene and hate-filled attacks on Islam and Muslims, as well as support for violent actions. One entry states: "It's bad enough some [expletive deleted] in Minnesota elect a Muslim to Congress but the people in Michigan might have done them one better. . .Start sticking [sic] up on guns and ammo. The war will start soon."

In a letter to Boca Raton-based Hostgator.com LLC, CAIR-Tampa Executive Director Ahmed Bedier wrote: "While we respect an individual's right to freedom of speech, we oppose hate-filled speech that calls for violence against innocent people. . .It's clear that [the website is] in violation of your company's 'Terms of Service' agreement which states: '...Any material that, in our judgment, is obscene or threatening is prohibited and will be removed from our servers with or without notice.' The agreement also clearly defines 'hate sites' under 'Examples of unacceptable material.'"

Bedier asked Hostgator to stop hosting the site. He noted that CAIR had raised concerns about the anti-Muslim site at a local forum on hate crimes in November.

Boycott U.S Airways

This is a second incident involving blatant hatred and bias from U.S Airways towards Muslims. See the links below. One woman was detained for 14 hours (mostly airport officials are to blame) but then U.S Airways refused to let her on the flight even after she had cleared security and had an FBI agent with her. The second is removing six imams from the flight in handcuffs for trying to pray.

United Express/SkyWest Airlines are not guiltless as well. They have removed a Muslim father and son from an airplane because their appearance made the flight attendant "uncomfortable"

We need to do some serious boycotting to show these racist airlines that they will pay a heavy financial price for this hatred. I know it may be tempting if we find a convenient flight or cheaper flight on that airline, but remember our Muslim brother and sisters and think of how you would feel if someone did this to you. All these people were ordinary law abiding citizens who paid for their fares like everyone else. They were humiliated and disrespected based on their faith and background. If we dont' unite on this cause, airlines will think they can continue to abuse us with no consequences.

Radio Hoax reveals Suppport for Nazi-like treatment towards Muslims

Straight from the CAIR newsletter. Can't begin to imagine how disturbing this is. what's funny is they don't need to BRAND Muslims. We carry our identity proudly. Simply Ask.

Still, It's finals week and I need to be studying, yet I keep getting sucked in because every headline is more shocking the other................Allah Yahmeena.

Below is the article: Reader Beaware!

WASHINGTON, D.C., 11/27/06) - A parody of anti-Muslim bigotry on a Washington, D.C., radio station drew support for treating American Muslims in a manner similar to how the Jewish community was targeted in Nazi Germany.

The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) said today that the reaction to the parody is a "wake-up call" for religious and political leaders who remain silent on the issue of growing Islamophobia in America.

In his 630 WMAL program on Sunday, November 26, talk show host Jerry Klein seemed to advocate a government program to force all Muslims to wear "identifying markers." He stated: "I'm thinking either it should be an arm band, a crescent moon arm band, or it should be a crescent moon tattoo." (4:00) Klein said: "If it means that we have to round them up and do a tattoo in a place where everybody knows where to find it, then that's what we'll have to do." (11:38)

[The program focused on public reaction to the removal of six Imams, or Islamic religious leaders, from a US Airways flight in Minnesota last week.]

Some callers to the program rejected discriminatory treatment of Muslims, but others supported Klein's statements and even suggested that even more severe measures be taken against American Muslims. "Richard" in Gaithersburg, Md., said: "Not only do you tattoo them in the middle of their foreheads; you round them up and then ship them out of this country, period." (15:58)

"Heath" in Upper Marlboro, Md., said: "I don't think you go far enough. . .you have to set up encampments like they did during World War II like with the Japanese and Germans." (23:50)

Later in the program, Klein revealed that his call for discriminatory actions against Muslims was "baloney." Klein said: "I can't believe any of you, any of you, are sick enough to have agreed for one second with anything that I have said in the last half hour." (25:15)

[IMPORTANT NOTE: Listen to the entire program. Jerry Klein was NOT advocating discriminatory measures against American Muslims. He was actually ridiculing and exposing anti-Muslim bigotry.]

"The public reaction to Mr. Klein's courageous parody should be a wake-up call for American religious and political leaders who remain silent in the face of growing anti-Muslim bigotry in our society," said CAIR Communications Director Ibrahim Hooper. "Americans of all faiths must come together to marginalize extremists and to challenge ethnic and religious bigotry."

UCLA Police Brutality

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m3GstYOIc0I
http://dailybruin.com/news/articles.asp?id=38960

UCLA Police used a taser multiple times to shock a UCLA student for failing to produce his ID the library. I'm sure this has been spread like wild fire by now, but still, I can't help but write about it. I've been out of the loop lately, though the news never ceases to disturb me.

Here is the short version and a link to the full article in the daily bruin and the disturbing video.

The video says it all, but I warn prospective watchers that its quite disturbing. So this student is at the library minding his own business and studying for his exams, when CSO approach him and ask him for his ID, which is a supposed "routine" check. Like many students, he doesn't have his ID on him and refuses to leave. CSO call UCPD to remove him. As the student is leaving the library, this one officer approaches him and grabs his arm. The student reacts by saying "Don't touch me", in which case the officer's response is to electrify him with a taser. Then the horror of the video continues with the officers yelling at him STAND UP, and the poor student immoblized can't stand up because of his pain. they keep yelling at him with utmost cruelty STAND UP or get tasered again, and then they taser him AGAIN. The student screams in utmost pain. Throughout the video he is telling the officers that he has a medical condition. He is shouting "I'm not fighting you, I'm leaving". but the officers are on this high from their abuse of power and keep yelling at the student and tasering him. He got tasered 4 TIMES. That's enough to kill some people. According to eyewitnesses, he got tasered while he was in handcuffs. It was just outrageous and what's worse is the letter UCLA sent out the day after completely mistruing facts and lying. luckily the whole thing was caught on tape but still. The fact that these officers still have their badges now is disturbing. Many students at the library were screaming at the officers and telling them to stop. When one girl asked for an officer's badge number, he threatened her with a taser too. It's horrifying, but this is the America we have right now. Let's not put ourselves on a pedestal and tell 3rd world dictators that we have respect, civil liberties and human rights. We've got none of that. We're as primative as anyone can get thanks to our current administration that wants to burn our constitution. just sick...

If ignorance is bliss, then poison is a vitamin

For those who do not know much about the recent Israeli aggression against Lebanon, here are powerful personal accounts from Hanady Salman, an editor of Assafir newspaper in Beruit.

Powerful excerpts from Hanady’s accounts

Unspoken Pain

I don’t know if any of you are reporters who covered wars in their homeland. But it’s really weird.

Editors crying while reading their reporters’ stories, photographers breaking down, colleagues calling their kids in the middle of the night after seeing pictures from the south, weird sounds during editorial meetings (you know how men like to hide their tears and emotions), women wearing black as a “natural reflex”.

In the morning, we don’t greet each other anymore; we just look deep into each other’s eyes. No one wants to tell what they see, no one wants to hear it. We write while crying, we read it and cry, but we never talk about it. Saada had tears in her eyes yesterday in her office. I came in and spoke to her and she answered back and her tears kept coming but we both behaved as if nothing was happening. I didn’t see her tears, and she wasn’t crying.

From Harsh to Harsher

We’re still alive, despite last night.

They were busy bombing Gaza, South Lebanon and Baalback , until 3:14 am , that was when they started hitting the outskirts of Beirut.

12, 13 air strikes? I stopped counting at the 12th strike and fell asleep. Don’t ask me how, I don’t know.

This morning, it turned they hit fisherman’s spots, 2 or 3 associations for orphans and people with special needs, and a place where The Rabab Sadr Charity Association keeps donations (clothes, medicine etc …)

Reports say the 3 coming days will be very harsh. (harsher?)

Innocent Victims

The workers killed today in Qaa had just finished collecting apples, packing them to be put on board of a truck, and they were having lunch. The Israelis wasted 2 air strikes onthem. The first one hit some of them. The second hit the others that gathered to try and help out the wounded and take the dead bodies out. Israel loves to kill those who help others. Israel loves to kill poor people. They're its’ favorite target, second best if you count kids.

Trapped and Helpless

She was 80? 75? She was wearing a black and white dress, a scarf hardly covering her white hair. The most striking thing about her were her eyes. They were wide opened, as if they were screaming. They were so opened. Terrified, she looked terrified. I’m sorry, her eyes looked terrified. There were Red Cross rescuers helping her out of her house.

Someone was talking to me in the room, but I had my eyes glued on that lady’s eyes, and I was trying to hear what the correspondent in the south was saying about her. SHE WAS BLIND, he said. The poor lady was blind, stuck in her house, alone, for ten days, not knowing what was going on, not knowing what she should do.

Were her eyes were open like this because she’s blind, or because they were reflecting her feelings? THE POOR LADY WAS THERE, ALONE, BLIND, FOR TEN DAYS, UNDER THE SHELLING, NOT KNOWING WHAT TO DO, NOR WHERE TO GO.

I did not sleep that night.

And every time I remember this lady I feel I’m suffocating.

It’s Not War, It’s Extermination

One suggestion I need any of you to transmit to the Israelis: I offer you all of us. Our flesh, our scalps, our inner parts to exhibit live on TV screens, our bare feet eaten by wolves during the night in ex- villages, our blood flooding in the streets, our kids, our mothers, our fathers , our brothers, sisters, grandparents , every single one of us. KILL US ALL.

JUST KILL US. DO NOT LEAVE US BEHIND. DO NOT LEAVE US TO WATCH. Tens of kids everyday, toddlers, elderly, killed in their houses, in their shelters, on the roads trying to flee, in the centers where they took refuge.

Blood is all what you have to offer, it has always been that way. Blood you shall have. As much blood as your planes can get. As much blood as your fantasies imply.

Did you have enough blood for today? Only in the afternoon, in Ghazyeh, in Ghassanieh, in Houla, in Britel, in Chmestar, in Ali Nahri, in Hezzine, in Tyre, in Bayyada, in Qassmieh, and those you killed a few minutes ago in Shayyah, in the southern suburb.

Kill as much as you can. This is not just another war. This is extermination.

Unanswered Cries
Baby Waad was in her mother’s arms. She stayed there when the building fell on them. It was the rescuer who separated them. Waad died in one piece. Too small to be cut in two: she is, was, ten days old. From the mother, only one arm remained.
They killed baby Hadi too. They killed baby Manal. Baby Mohamad, baby Ali, baby every single name in the Arabic language. Those they missed here, they killed in Palestine.
“ya Ali” , the man was calling in Srifa. “Ya Ali, Ya batal” . That’s how he was calling his son, “hero”. The hero never answered back. The hero was under the rubble. Among others who are still under the rubble in Srifa. Among others who are still under the rubble in Houla, Aynatha, Aytaroun, Hallousiyeh, Taybeh, Maroon el Ras, Bint Jbeil. People are rotting under the rubble in every single village south of the Litany River in Southern Lebanon.
Pity the living, pity those who are left behind. Pity those who are dreading the day when it will be their turn to run down the streets, screaming, collecting the legs and arms of their loved ones, calling their names so loud their voices would reach the skies.

We Will Prevail
I feel we’re falling apart, one town after the other, one house after the other, one person after the other.
But I know that deep inside, none of us lost faith : we know who our enemy is, we know what it’s capable of, and we know that this enemy knows that no matter what it does we will prevail.
